Sisal, grass and jute area rugs(Rugs made from natural fibers: sisal area rugs, sea grass rugs, coir area rugs and jute area rugs) Natural fiber area rugs are woven from plant or animal fibers (such as sisal area rugs and sea grass area rugs) and tend to have irregularities that are considered normal because they occur in nature and so are random in their appearance and occurrence. This randomness is a major part of the appeal of natural area rugs. This means that these rugs may have what appear to be imperfections, but are really inherent qualities that enhance the natural fibers appearance; similar to what is found in wicker or rattan furniture. Weave and shading irregularities are inherent in the fiber and the manufacturing process. What doesn’t exist is”perfect” natural fiber area rugs. All natural area rugs have distinctive and unique characteristic that makes each rug a one of a kind. A list of the most common unique characteristics follows. Generally these characteristics appear at random intervals in any rug and no guarantee can be made as to how often, or even if, they will occur.
